How do you clean the windows?
We hand clean every window the old-fashioned way with “elbow grease” in order to eliminate streaks. We use Sprayway® Foam Glass Cleaner, an Industrial strength, high-powered, foam cleaner that does not drip on your window sills or flooring. Not only is it the best window and mirror cleaning product currently available, but because of the foam-based formulation, there is never any overspray that might damage the surrounding area, floors and furniture. This product helps separate us from our competition that typically uses a water-based product (such as Windex or soap and water with a squeegee) that could run down the window, potentially staining your sills, frames, flooring and furniture.
Is it important to clean the screens?
If your screens aren’t cleaned at the same time we clean the outside of your windows, we can virtually guarantee that the next time it rains, the water splashing through the dirty screen is going to end up on your clean windows. For every full service job (inside and outside cleaning), the screens are always cleaned and included in our pricing.
What if it rains on my scheduled outside window cleaning day?
On days when the weather is in question, the customer may contact us. We closely monitor the current weather conditions. Even if it rains after our visit, your windows will still be clean after they dry. Water and rain don’t make windows streak and spot, dirt and grime cause the problems. The only time we cancel is if weather conditions present a potential safety hazard to our crew.
Do I need to be home?
First time customers are encouraged to be home. We would like you to see how we perform the window cleaning service and to be available for any questions we (or you) may have.
How long does it usually take?
It typically takes our crew about 1–2 hours depending on the number and types of windows, screens, storm doors, etc. and where they are located in your home Although our goal is to provide the least amount of inconvenience and get out of your way quickly, the job is never rushed, we want you to be satisfied before we leave.
What about the mess? Will my carpet and walls get dirty?
Unlike some of our competitors, we don’t use water and a squeegee that could splatter and damage your walls, floors and furniture. Our industrial strength foam window cleaner has no overspray and leaves no mess. When necessary, we use drop cloths to protect your furniture and belongings. To ensure that we don’t track dirt from the outside into your house, our employees always remove their shoes at your front door and/or use disposable shoe covers.
Can I trust the workers?
We are fully insured and bonded for anything that may happen at your location. We go to great lengths to hire only the most responsible individuals. We pride ourselves in our staff and their experience, the majority of our employees have been with us for over 15 years, and all of our team leaders over 20 years.
What do I need to do before your arrival?
We have our own supplies and equipment. All we ask is that there is a clear path to the windows. Please remove any antiques, heirlooms, breakables, “knick-knacks”, etc. from furniture that may be in front of the window, attached to the window or sitting on the sill.
How often should I clean my windows?
We have many packages available that can be customized to meet your needs. We always suggest a minimum of twice per year because there are many reasons that windows get dirty year-round. Indoor factors include smoke (from cooking and/or if you have smokers in the house), and dusting the furniture that transfers the dust and dirt to the windows. Outside factors can range from pollen, tree and bush debris, to nearby house or road construction.
